I started photography in 1988 as staff
of the Development Education Media Services Foundation (DEMS), an audio-visual
outfit where I was also writer and audio-visual coordinator. I abandoned
the prospects of a career in photojournalism in 1989, when I realized
my skills lay more in performing than in shooting. In 1992, I bought a
second-hand Olympus OM5, a 50mm and a 35mm lens. Save for the 50mm lens,
they're now in the hands of whoever bought it from the pawnshop.
Now I shoot with borrowed cameras, from SLRs to instamatic cams to digital cams.)
